The President's Message

On behalf of the 450 plus distinguished, dynamic and diverse members of the Shelby County (TN) Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc., it is indeed my pleasure to welcome you!

Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. was founded in 1913 by twenty-two phenomenal women on the campus of Howard University in Washington, DC and has since distinguished itself as a public service organization with a legacy of sisterhood, scholarship, and service.

For over a decade, our local sisterhood of college-educated women, affectionately known as “SCTAC”, has enthusiastically demonstrated our commitment to impacting lives in the Shelby County, Tennessee community by awarding over $90,000 in scholarships and through alignment with the Sorority’s Five Point Programmatic Thrust:

∆  Educational Development

∆  Economic Development

∆  International Awareness and Involvement

∆  Political Awareness and Involvement

∆  Physical and Mental Health
