About The Physical& Mental Health Committee
This initiative was designed to empower individuals through a variety of activities and resources, promoting healthy lifestyles mental resilience. We are dedicated to empowering individuals by offering a diverse range of activities and resources that promote healthy lifestyles and mental resilience. With those things in mind, SCTAC has created programming to support these endeavors. We are very active with our national charitable partners including St. Jude’s, Good Health Wins, and the March of Dimes.
"Deltas Go Pink" is an annual initiative in which our chapter performs community service in the form of education and advocacy. This initiative brings awareness to breast cancer and how it disproportionately affects African American women. This year we delivered goodie bags to two local breast cancer centers and collaborated with the Political Awareness and Involvement Committee to produce a video advocating for early detection.

Be Healthy Heart Edition
Heart disease is the #1 killer of women and far too many remain unaware.

Grand Chapter issued a call for
chapters to support the March of Dimes Family Support NICU Book Drive. The objective was to collect new baby books to be donated and given to families with babies in the NICU. SCTAC and Memphis Alumnae Chapter collaborated on this project. We are proud to say that we donated a total of 628 books to the NICU families of Regional One Health. With preterm birth and maternal death rates continuing to rise, we’re committed to raising funds so that every family gets the best possible start. And YOU can help us.
Click the link to donate, join our team, and come walk with us on May 30th.
